Industrial condition monitoring · Agent Skill
Connect to Analytics gives Agent Skills-compatible clients a documented way to discover EI Analytic assets and query measurements, signals, thermal images, devices, and sensor assignments through a Node.js CLI.
Why it exists
EI Analytic exposes structured industrial information through its API. Connect to Analytics packages the hierarchy-resolution rules, supported commands, authentication model, and output conventions so an agent can translate a natural-language request into the correct CLI operation.
Capabilities
The public capability list mirrors the existing Agent Skill: companies, areas, machines, points, axes, devices, current and historical measurements, sensor data, extra values, assignments, FFT, TWF, and thermal images.
Resolve companies, areas, machines, measurement points, and axes before requesting data—without guessing IDs.
Read current measurements, all-current values, historical ranges, sensor data, and extra sensor values.
Retrieve FFT or TWF signal data with supported signal and frequency-unit options.
Retrieve a thermal image through the CLI, decode it to a file, and return its metadata.
Inspect devices, device lookups, and sensor assignments associated with monitored equipment.
Give an Agent Skills-compatible client a clear industrial question and let it map the request to the documented CLI commands.
Workflow
The agent first resolves names to documented numeric IDs, then runs the narrowest command that answers the question. The CLI normalizes the service response into JSON for interpretation by the agent.
Examples
Examples are phrased as agent requests, but each maps to commands already documented by the existing skill.
“Show me the machines in Area 3 for the selected company, then list their measurement points and axes.” “Get the historical vibration measurements for this machine, point, and axis between July 1 and July 15.” “Retrieve the FFT signal for this measurement file in mm/s and Hz, then summarize the dominant peaks.” “Download the thermal image for this machine, then show the sensor assignments associated with the monitored equipment.” Industrial use cases
Use the skill to accelerate data discovery for condition-monitoring reviews, historical comparisons, device inventory checks, vibration-signal inspection, thermal inspection workflows, and sensor-assignment verification.
Agent compatibility
The repository documents installation into Agent Skills-compatible environments such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and other clients that support an equivalent skills directory.
Security
The CLI reads EIA_EMAIL, EIA_PASSWORD, optional EIA_DATABASE, optional EIA_TOKEN, and optional EIA_BASE_URL from environment variables. This static site contains no credential values and performs no authenticated EI Analytic browser requests.
Install
Use Node.js 18 or newer. Configure EI Analytic access with environment variables in your shell; never commit credentials.

These answers describe the current repository and intentionally avoid claims about official affiliation, guaranteed rankings, or capabilities not implemented by the Agent Skill.
Connect to Analytics is a repository containing an Agent Skill for querying EI Analytic industrial condition-monitoring data through a zero-dependency Node.js CLI.
It supports hierarchy discovery, devices, current and historical measurements, sensor data, extra values, sensor assignments, FFT/TWF signals, and thermal images.
Credentials and tokens are read from environment variables. They are not embedded in this landing page and the browser does not authenticate to EI Analytic.
The existing Agent Skill requires Node.js 18 or newer. The public landing site is generated as static HTML.
No. The website is a presentation and discovery layer. API access remains in the Agent Skill and CLI.
No. The website is isolated under site/ and does not import or modify the runtime behavior of skills/ei-analytic.
